THIS COURSE SATISFIES 8 HOURS OF ELECTIVE SKILLS TRAINING
The Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) requires Security Officers to complete 32 hours of skills training within 6 months of registration, or employment, as detailed below:
- 16 hours within 30 days of registration, or employment, (8 hours of Mandatory Topics and 8 hours of Elective Topics)
- Additional 16 hours within 6 months of registration, or employment, (8 hours of Mandatory Topics and 8 hours of Elective Topics)
Also, per the BSIS, each licensed Security Officer must complete 8 hours of skills training annually. The annual training may repeat previous Course(s), or may be additional Course(s) on topics applicable to private security work. This Course also satisfies 8 hours of annual Continuing Education skills training.
